I had some damage in the house due to a broken water pipe. They came and repaired drywall and painted the interior of the home. They did what they said they were going to do. It was a pretty extensive job. It was a home that was built in the 1980's and it has soaring ceilings and the previous owners had wallpaper all over it and a popcorn ceiling. They removed all of the wallpaper and popcorn ceiling including the master suite hallway, etc. We used 4 different paint colors throughout the home. They made repairs to the walls and did a good job. We were living in the home while the project was going on. I would recommend them to others. I thought the price was reasonable. They gave me an estimate of 15 days and that was about right to complete the job. The final price was the quoted price.

The best painting experience we ever had. Andy arrived on time and sent us a complete work description and cost estimate. His price was within $50 of the independent contractor who also bid for us, but Detail Painting had far more experience, and recommendations from Angies List plus a list of references Andy gave us. We have a single story, wood frame house, plus two separate garages. The wood was in poor condition and hadn't been painted in 12 years.

Comments:

Steve, the Supervisor, arrived on time with his assistant and started the work. They did a lot of prep work includingt power washing, sanding, mask-taping, scraping, sanding, bondo patching, caulking and window putty for damages. Then they applied the primer plus two coats of flat finish. They had to come back twice to fix some subsequent minor problems but did so with no complaints. This is the most professional, and detail-oriented company we've ever dealt with. Our house looks fabulous. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, and will use them again for some inside painting.

Sanding and re-staining/waterproofing a very large wooden wall around my backyard area.

Comments:

These guys are fantastic. This was a tricky job because the wooden wall / fence is made up of 2-3" wooden slats with about an inch in between each of them. It's a large surface too - running all the way around the wall surrounding my pool area (about 10 feet hight and a good 100 feet long). They sanded the entire front of it with a power sander and then manually sanded in between each slat. They then stained all the surfaces with waterproofing stain, perfectly matching the original color. They also bleached out a few spots where there were some pretty bad black spots on the wood due to lack of proper upkeep (woops). Job took about 4 days with two guys working constantly through the process. Did an exceptional job, were professional, got my input on the color matching, showed up when they said they would... overall couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely recommend.

Let me just start out by saying, the quality, attention to detail and the company's willingness to work with us was the best experience we've ever had with a professional painting project. The painters arrived and began work right on time on a daily basis for the four days it took to do the project. Due to a miscommunication between us and Detail Painting, our home was about half painted when we determined that the paint color wasn't coming out the way we had planned. We called, spoke to Andy and negotiated a fair price and chose a different paint color. The project was still completed on time and we are so happy with the way it came out. We plan on selecting the company when we paint our house externally and would strongly recommend Detail Painting to anyone looking to get a professional paint project completed.

I recommend Charlie and his painters wholeheartedly and without reservation. Charlie and his crew are true professionals, and they made the entire painting process easy. I called Detail Painting in the afternoon, and made an appointment with Charlie for the next moning. Charlie arrived promptly, and he emailed me with a written estimate/proposal that afternoon. His price was the lowest of the three contractors we received bids from, and he promised to do it in the shortest amount of time. Charlie also made some suggestions on paint colors when asked, and his insight was very helpful. We went with Charlie, and his painters began work two days later. Chuck, Charlie's painter, was very pleasant, hard working and detail oriented. Chuck spoke limited English, but we were able to communicate effectively. The painters spent an entire day prepping the interior of the house, then worked everyday (except Sundays) until the job was completed. The painters came promptly everyday, and they kept their job areas clean and relatively free of debris. They cleaned up their supplies and equipment at the end of each workday, and did not leave any trash hanging around. As promised, they finished the job afer eight working days, and I was extremely pleased with the finished product. They delivered our home to us clean and free of all painting debris. I was extremely satisfied with the paint job, and they did their job so throughly that I did not even need to contact Charlie for a touch-up session, which he offered to us when doing the walk-through. We have been living in the house for two weeks now and still have not noticed any detail missed on the paint job. The only issue we have encountered is the paint smell, which, while dissipating, remains to this day. We do have a large house with high ceilings, so there was a lot of surface area that was painted. The smell gets fainter by the day. Again, I would definitely work with Charlie and his crew again, and I highly recommend Detail Painting to anyone looking for a good painting contractor that could do the job right, timely, and at a reasonable price.
